Microsoft is trying to get vendors to be like Apple where when a new version of the OS is released Older versions will no longer boot or install or be downloadable. IPHOTO or OSX 10.6 10.7 10.8 10.9 10.10 10.11. All future machines UEFI Bios only allow the Latest OS to load.
