Only the short ones work. If they have 2 fans and aux power or are 9 to 12 inches long they are not for you. Aux power comes from 650W or higher power supplies. EVGA Super Nova B1 750 works fine.

You get a modular power supply so that you can remove the aux power and connect to the card then insert back into power supply after routing the cable back thru. Otherwise you need a short card.

Pressure spots are usually permanent. This seems like physical damage not electronic failure. Pressing firmly on the touch screen/LCD can damage the LCD itself.

Yes, but if you vent the GPU directly outside the case if the video card has a blower, that should lower the temps inside the whole case, regardless of whether the OP was complaining about GPU temps.
